Creating Private Space in a Growing Office

The Brief

Following successful growth within their industry, our client Butterworth Spengler had recently occupied a new two-story office block.

Looking for design support, they contacted our office contracting team. We were able to offer our specialist advice and offer solutions to best maximise office floor space. The final vision was a vibrant office for staff to enjoy.

The main requirement of the project was to create a new meeting room and office space. This was to be set within the main open-plan workspace to separate spaces for staff when needed.

The Solution

We began by undertaking a full and comprehensive site survey during the initial project enquiry stages. We were then able to provide our client with a full quotation, offering initial cost certainty.

Within the quote, we had specified 10mm frameless glass partitions to form the walls of their new meeting room. These wall partitions were made from toughened glass.

Once plans were signed off, we moved on to the installation stage. Our fitters began by fixing 25mm profiled aluminium (25mm aluminium frameless glass tracks) around the perimeters of the meeting room. Once secured, the office glass partitions could be installed.

Next, we incorporated full height frameless glazed doors. This helped to maximise the natural light within the space, enhancing the open-plan style. The glass doors were completed with stainless steel door furniture, lever locking latch sets and dry silicone glass joints.

After discussions and full design proofs with our client, we applied a 1mm deep opal frosted privacy band to the glass partitions. This glass manifestation also incorporated the client’s company logo within it, adding a bespoke touch to their new workplace. The frosted band also improved the privacy of their new glass meeting room.

We completed the project on time and within budget, delivering the perfect solution to bring our client’s vision of a vibrant office to life.
