The Brief

Located in Tewkesbury, this recent project was for a bespoke car modification showroom. The client contacted Contract Interior Systems for help turning their vision into a reality.

There were two sides to the project; first, the client needed a protective environment where their staff could prepare and detail their vehicles without exposure to and dust impacting their modifications. Alongside this, they then needed a space that enhanced their finished cars, showcasing them for promotional purposes.

The Solution

After an initial consultation with the client, we visited the site to take accurate measurements and determine the minimum sizes for the detailing bay. This is pivotal to ensuring we deliver projects on time and don’t produce any excess waste.

Our operations team worked together to design and install an enclosure within the building’s existing car garage. We used a lay-in suspended ceiling system with accompanying gridwork, as well as integral lighting that illuminated the workplace and showcased the modified cars in a bright, welcoming light. This was an important factor in marketing the cars for purchase.

The entire project was a high-specification build. To ensure the car showroom was fit out to support staff as they work, we incorporated a large bi-fold opening door. This movable wall created a smart solution so that cars could easily be driven in and out of the showroom.

We constructed a safe space where staff could also modify their cars before selling them. This area was separate from the main showroom, protecting them from exposure, dust and other potential damaging factors. We added a ceiling lid to this corner space and the car modification area was complete!
