The Brief

Whilst our client was undergoing a wider office fit out in Cheltenham, our commercial fit out contractors were called upon for our experience in the supply and fit of various commercial ceilings. This included the installation of an MF ceiling, an open cell suspended ceiling and a metal mesh suspended ceiling in their Cheltenham office.

Whilst it’s unusual to have a variety of commercial ceilings fitted in one workspace, our client had a clear vision that they were keen for us to help them bring to life. This vision was of an industrial-themed office design that required a black finish for each ceiling option to pull the entire space together.

The Solution

We began with an in-depth consultation and thorough site survey. This pivotal step allowed us to gain a detailed understanding of the project, including the client’s specific requirements and preferences. We were keen to collaborate closely with the main office fit out contractors to ensure a seamless commercial ceiling installation. This involved extensive discussions on the designs and various ceiling systems; not only did they need to meet the design objectives, they also had to address the acoustic requirements of the floor and conceal any exposed services within the ceiling void.

Our experienced installation team set out the various ceiling areas, taking into consideration the architectural details and functional needs of each space. We installed a main feature MF ceiling, including bulkhead details. We then incorporated a mix of open cell and mesh architectural suspended ceiling systems. These were chosen due to their robust and versatile structure, as well as their ability to allow air to flow across the floor.

• Open Cell Suspended Ceiling – The open cell ceiling was strategically chosen to create an open and airy atmosphere within the office, all while encouraging the flow of natural light throughout the space.
• Metal Mesh Suspended Ceiling – Our choice of lay-in mesh metal ceiling tiles was driven by our client’s vision of infusing industrial and contemporary design into the office, introducing a dynamic element that introduces character.
