The Brief

Our client, a school in Worcestershire, got in touch with our experts at Contract Interior Systems for help with the supply and fit of a partitioning solution that met the demands of the workplace.

To determine the best system for our client, we conducted a site survey and formulated a brief. Following this, we were then able to ensure we installed partitions that met every need of the school, the teachers and the students.

The Solution

We specified sliding partitions as a flexible and cost-effective solution for our client’s project. In fact, we often recommend sliding walls to businesses in the education sector to divide theatres and classrooms in order to improve acoustics and student concentration whenever needed.

We began by fitting concealed tracks for the partitions to glide across. Depending on your partitions and preferences, these can either be top hung or fixed to the floor for a bottom rolling system. Our fitters then installed the partitioning, with regular quality checks to ensure they functioned correctly. Using a push and pull system, the sliding partitions could glide seamlessly along the tracks – closed offered two private spaces for exams or other focused work, whereas open formed a creative and collaborative environment, perfect for activity-based tasks.

The sliding partitions helped support students and teachers by easily transitioning between multipurpose areas. What’s more, there was no need to commit to a permanent wall or part with additional expenses building two separate classrooms.
