Commercial fit out contractor

At Contract Interior Systems, we aim to address the needs of each workplace to deliver interior solutions that drive results. As part of this, we conduct site surveys and thorough, initial consultations to determine the requirements unique to your workforce. From this, we are able to recommend the perfect commercial ceiling to elevate your workplace and change the way you work, for the better.

What is a Performance Ceiling?

You might not realise, but your commercial ceiling can help improve your building’s overall performance and maintain a supportive structure. In fact, there are various performance ceiling systems available depending on different requirements, from acoustics to fire-rated, humidity resistance to hygiene.

Depending on the needs of your workplace, a performance ceiling is designed to improve qualities in your building. Typically, this is achieved through specialist ceiling tiles and ceiling grids that have been manufactured with outstanding properties to help optimise workplaces.

Without a performance ceiling, your environment could be subject to damage, poor quality work and can even impact the wellbeing of staff and customers. In certain environments, more standard ceiling systems could end up costing businesses more due to the frequency of repairing tiles that aren’t designed to enhance that specific space.

At Contract Interior Systems, we have decades of experience in the suspended ceiling industry. With our knowledge and strong partnerships with some of the world’s leading manufacturers, we can specify and fit the best-performing ceiling for your workplace, at the very best possible price.

What are the Key Benefits of Performance Ceilings?

Investing in a performance ceiling can help your business save money in the long run. Alongside this, the beneficial outcome of your performance ceiling will depend on the properties you require:

  • Acoustic ceilings are perfect for environments that generate a lot of noise, such as call centres or offices. These workplaces would benefit from an acoustic performance ceiling as the specialist ceiling tiles absorb sound to improve speech clarity. Environments such as meeting rooms would also benefit from a sound insulating ceiling system to help improve privacy. We can discuss your project with you to determine your noise requirements, specifying the perfect acoustic ceilings to harmonise an ideal work setting.
  • Fire rated ceilings can help to protect your workforce and comply with your unique Building Regulations. Whilst we always advise our customers to refer to their unique requirements, we are able to source, supply, deliver and fit the required fire rated performance ceiling.
  • Humidity resistant ceilings tend to be needed to assist extreme environments such as showers and changing rooms, swimming pools and spas. For this, there are a number of available solutions dependent on the extent of the humidity resistance required. Once installed, a humidity-resistant performance ceiling can help reduce the buildup of mould and mildew and, in some cases, prevent sagging from extreme moisture.
  • Hygienic ceilings can improve commercial kitchens, hospitals and laboratories. There are many types of hygienic performance ceiling systems available, ranging from the more basic vinyl-faced plasterboard tiles (more commonly used in kitchens) to mineral fibre ceiling tiles with antifungal and antibacterial properties (more commonly used in hospitals and laboratories).
